With the External Data Connector for SharePoint, users of SharePoint gain access to variety of data imported from external sources, directly into Lists and Libraries. Documents, files, tables and items imported into SharePoint can also have their metadata updated. Necessary metadata can also be exported to the source to update it as necessary.
